Peter Holicza holds a Master’s degree in Business Development Economics and earned his Ph.D. in Security Sciences with summa cum laude honors. During his academic journey, he made significant contributions to the field, authoring more than 50 scholarly articles and actively supporting Erasmus initiatives, fostering international collaborations spanning academia and industry.
In 2019, he joined the Ministry of Justice as an EU expert; afterwards, he was delegated to the European Commission and to the Permanent Representation of Hungary to the EU.
Presently, he serves as Deputy State Secretary for EU Affairs and International Relations at the Ministry of Energy. In this capacity, his responsibilities encompass energy and climate diplomacy, legislative work related to the Council of the EU, industrial relations, and the preparation for Hungary’s EU Presidency in 2024.
