Deputy Member of the Government
Tomáš Tesař was born in 1963 in Prague. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Engineering and Textiles in Liberec. After the November Revolution in 1989, he started working in the foreign trade company Čechofracht a.s. and subsequently headed a branch of a German logistics company in Děčín. In 2010-2014, he held the position of Deputy Minister of the Environment and headed the Nature and Landscape Protection Section. Afterwards, he worked in the field of environmental legislation and energy as a self-employed person. His interests include alpine skiing, sandstone rock climbing, outdoor wildlife, architecture and European and global political history.
